Lone Star Region
Based in Houston, TX the Lone Star Region PCA has over 2,000 members. Well versed with HPDEs and an almost 20 year history in club racing it can be said that track events are what they do best.
As the largest region in Texas our Dallas based Maverick region is going to great lengths to help make your experience second to none. Maverick members enjoy a large participation in club racing registering the most of any club in Zone 5.
May 6-8, 2016 we will be the Third Annual "Carrera of the Americas" PCA Club Race and Driver's Education Event at the Circuit of the Americas (COTA) in Austin, TX. This year, in order to maximize track time for all, we will limit the event to only 2 Club Race groups and 2 Advance Solo-Only Driver Ed groups.
Friday will consist of three practice sessions followed by practice starts and a fun race. On Saturday each Race Group will have two sprint races. And, there will be a 60 minute Enduro on Sunday. We will also have two groups of ADVANCED SOLO-ONLY High Speed Driver's Education. The staff of the hosting regions has been hard at work to make every part of your visit a lifetime memory. We are here for you so please do not hesitate to contact us with any questions.
COTA is located approximately 25 minutes from Downtown Austin. You can choose to stay in several hotels located closer to COTA, or pick a downtown hotel and enjoy the nightlife of the Live Music Capitol of America with its famous Sixth Street and Entertainment District. If you would like to extend your stay there will be storage options available for your trailer and rig.
If you're not a club racer, consider participating in the ADVANCED SOLO-ONLY Driver Ed Event. It is open to PCA D.E. Drivers who are in the Yellow, White, or Red Groups (or their equivalents in other parts of the Country).
We hope you will plan on joining us! Plan to look for upcoming news about this event on this website.
