Our events are multi-purpose with focus on teaching drivers with little to no track experience the fundamentals of high performance driving. We also accommodate those that have advanced skills and want additional track time.

Your registration includes a Friday night pizza social at the track, event T-shirt and if we have full attendance, a BBQ dinner at the track Saturday night.

A final event update email will be sent to all confirmed drivers approximately a week before the event and include information on if a BBQ dinner will be included or not.

Apex Performance, a national PCA sponsor will provide track side support for the event. They stock Performance Friction brakes for most all Porsche and BMW applications. If you need anything for the event (new helmet, consumables – brake pads/fluid etc.) you can arrange for them to bring anything you need right to the track. If you have any questions or requests, please contact Clark at 866.505.2739 or visit their website: www.apexperformance.net.

Please note that run group and car numbers will be assigned by the event Registrar.  Each number is assigned to a single car per event (not per run group).  Driver are responsible for their numbers (the event does not provide them).

Florida Citrus Region PCA Track data you can process 1/28
01/28/19-01/28/19
Florida Citrus Region - PCA will host a Tech Seminar, entitled "Track data you can process" on January 28, 2019 from 7:00 to 9:00 pm at Ace Café, 100 W. Livingston St. Orlando (407-996-6686).  The seminar is primarily for experienced DE drivers hoping to improve their performance using real-time and post-session data analysis.  However, any level driver will benefit from the information and may attend.  Registration is at the following link:

https://clubregistration.net/events/signUp.cfm/event/9490

Many drivers use data acquisition systems that range from less than $20 to very expensive.  Most of these systems are vastly underutilized because the processing of the data may be cumbersome or even uninterpretable.  Some such devices are little better than cell phone video cameras that allow drivers to show off their skills to their friends, but do not provide any real coaching. The most expensive provide huge amounts of data that are far beyond that which most DE drivers can process.

Apex Pro has developed an affordable data system that allows drivers to acquire valuable data and process it in real-time -- then do more extensive reviews post-session.  The key is a data acquisition module that is attached in the driver's field of view.  The module has GPS and g-sensors that continuously monitor car dynamics and then give a real-time visual signal that indicates if the car is approaching the traction limit.  Thus giving the driver the opportunity to make small corrections to improve his performance -- lap after lap.  After a session, the data can be downloaded for highly detailed analysis, including comparing different laps from a single driver or from different drivers

The seminar will be presented by Andrew Rains, co-developer of the Apex Pro.  Andrew is a highly experienced driver and coach.  He is a coach at the Porsche Track Experience with more than 5 years as a professional coach.  In addition, Andrew has raced a wide variety of cars from current Porsche models to a 944, as well as a 1974 Alfa Romeo, Hondas, VWs, and BMWs.  He will be going through the ins and outs of the device from basic operation to data analytics. He'll also be answering any questions you may have.

** You DO-NOT need to own an Apex Pro device to attend the event.  Apex Performance, a major sponsor of Porsche events, will attend the event and will provide special offers for all attendees. **

Ace Cafe is allowing us to use their conference facilities for this seminar.  Please support them by purchasing food and beverages prior to the event.
