High Plains Raceway – Byers / Deer Trail, Colorado The Rocky Mountain Region’s Club Race will September 21 – 22, 2024 Our Rocky Mountain Region hosted the very first PCA Club Race in 1992 at Second Creek racetrack. Members of the Rocky Mountain Region take pride in this historic event. The Region has run the race at Second Creek, at Pueblo Motorsports Park and now at High Plains Raceway. The tentative race weekend will feature two 30-minute sprint races on Saturday and a 65-minute Enduro race on Sunday. Saturday: 2 practice sessions, qualifying, and 2 30-minute sprint races. Awards for Sprint 1 will be presented in the afternoon before Sprint 2. Pit-box sign-up for the Enduro will be noon to 2 PM. The awards for Sprint 2 will be presented during the Saturday evening Dinner festivities. Sunday: Warm-up session followed by the 65-minute Enduro race. PCA Club Racing rules allow refueling during Enduro races longer than 60 minutes. The Enduro will conclude before noon to accommodate those traveling long distances. Please note that RV & Carport spaces are currently wait-listed. Camping is allowed at High Plains. We recommend staying at the Comfort Inn in Bennett, CO, or the Longhorn Inn in Byers, CO. Friday: Optional Test and Tune High Plains Raceway Open-lapping day (NOT a PCA event) - separate registration required at https://www.motorsportreg.com/events/cars-open-lapping-friday-sep-20-high-plains-raceway-735635 The points races (Sprints 1 & 2 and the Enduro) will earn points towards the 2024 West Coast Series, the 2024 Mid-America Championship and the 2024 PCA National Championship Points Series. The Rocky Mountain Thunder Club Race is the 7th race in the 2024 Mid-America Championship series. Further details at Mid-America Series Podium winning trophies for race classes with a 3+ car count. Registrants will get a commemorative poster and T-shirt of the event. The center provides comprehensive care from injury through rehabilitation and is a critical resource for our community. Contributions can be made during registration or at the track. The Lunchtime Charity Parade Laps with a contribution of $20 will benefit The University of Colorado Hospital Burn Center. I understand that my registration for this Club Race will not be approved or confirmed until payment is received and I have submitted all required paperwork and requested information which may include (but is not limited to) on-line waivers, log book information, guest information, and team information. Any 'special circumstances' regarding fee payment should be brought to the attention of the event registrar immediately. All PCA Club Race registrants are required to sign, as part of this registration, the PCA Release and Waiver of Liability, Assumption of Risk and Indemnity Agreement for the Club Race portion of the weekend. (The PCA Release and Waiver of Liability, Assumption of Risk and Indemnity Agreement must also be signed for the Club Pace portion of the weekend.) I understand that I and all of my guests and crew may be required to sign waivers at the track gate in order to receive the track/general event wristbands and gain admittance to the track property. These wristbands must be worn at all times while on track property. Minor waivers are required for all attendees who are minors (anyone under the age of 18). Please review the event file: Minor Waivers – an update. All PCA Club Race registrants are then required to complete at-track registration to receive Run Group wristbands. This event is held under the current PCA Club Racing Rules. I agree to abide by the PCA Club Racing Rules and the supplementary regulations of this event. All PCA Club Race registrants are required to have a current PCA Club Racing License (or approved New License Application), current Medical Forms (on-file in the PCA Club Racing Office), and a current PCA Membership. (New License Applications must be received by the Club Racing Program Coordinator three weeks prior to the event.) I agree to indemnify and hold harmless the organizers of this event and their agents, with respect to the condition and preparation of my registered car, or any subsequent failure or damage to my registered car or its occupants as a result of such failures. I acknowledge that at all times I remain solely responsible for the safety and roadworthiness of my registered car. My at-track registration signifies that my registered car information is complete and accurate and that my car has a current valid Club Racing log book. Incorrect information may cause me to be black-flagged from the track. All Rookie Candidates and First Time Provisionals for whom this will be their first PCA Club Race MUST attend the Orientation Meeting. Others may be required to attend by invitation. Participants will be notified and information regarding time, place, and date may be obtained from the event registrar. I understand that I am required to reimburse PCA Rocky Mountain Region and High Plains Raceway for any fees or physical damage to the track or its facilities caused by myself, my crew, and my guests and that these are not covered in my registration fee. Payment is due upon invoice. The points races at this Club Race will earn points towards the 2024 PCA Club Racing West Coast Series, the 2024 Mid-America Championship Series as well as the PCA Club Racing National Championship Points Series. Registrations at the event site will be by cash or check only. No refunds after September 14, 2024. |

Charity donation to The University of Colorado Hospital Burn Center The University of Colorado Hospital Burn Center is the only accredited adult burn center in the Rocky Mountain Region verified by the American Burn Association. The Burn Center provides high quality patient care from time of injury through rehabilitation. The Burn Center is never on divert for burn injuries, but is always ready to accept patients with burns or soft tissue injuries of all sizes. Patients have access to a team of burn specialists, including physical and occupational therapy, nutrition, psychology and rehabilitation, along with exposure to the SOAR (Survivors Offering Assistance in Recovery) peer support program and assistance through our Burn Foundation and burn survivor community. |
