Once again, PCA Chicago is hosting a Driver’s Education event dedicated to and for ladies. Have you ever wanted to try your hand at driving on the track but maybe had some reservations? What were they? - Too much testosterone at those male-dominated events - Don’t own a Porsche - Don’t have the need for speed - Don’t want to or are intimidated to drive partner’s Porsche - Don’t want partner’s judgement or advice about driving Over the years, as we’ve encouraged women to come out and participate, these are the things we’ve heard. Well, now there is an opportunity just for you to get behind the wheel of your Porsche sports car, Porsche SUV, or non-Porsche sports car and experience what it is like to drive on the North racetrack in Joliet, IL. Taycan or other EV's, or open-wheeled cars are not allowed. It’s a well-established fact that women tend to be better drivers on the track—just ask any PCA driving instructor! Not necessarily faster, though sometimes, but better because they listen to instructions and implement quickly. This is an event just for ladies (18 or older with a valid driver's license), run by ladies. Please consider joining us. You never know, you may love it as we all do! Important Details - Taycan or other EV's, or open-wheeled cars are not allowed. - Please note that you must register for yourself. Registrations by a spouse or significant other for their partner will not be accepted. This is due to the waiver requirements for this event. This event also has an online classroom session on Monday, June 10th, starting at 7:00 PM where you will learn the basics of safely driving on a racetrack and what to expect during the event. If you have never driven on a race track, attending this session is highly recommended. Access information for attending the session will be emailed to new drivers in advance of the session. I agree to indemnify and hold harmless the Porsche Club of America-Chicago Region, as well as its directors, officers, employees, agents, advisors, and assigns (collectively, the "Club") from any loss, liability, damage, fees, or cost, including bodily injury or property damage of any sort, that I may incur or cause arising out of or related to my presence at or participation in the Club's events, whether caused by the negligence or fault of the Club, or otherwise. I acknowledge that I remain solely responsible at all times for the safety and roadworthiness of my car, including its condition, preparation, and suitability for the Club's events, as well as my own physical and mental fitness to participate in Club events. By participating in the Club's events, I am assuming all responsibility for risk of damage to or caused by my car, and agree that if I or my car damages or destroys any event facilities or property, I will reimburse the Club for any such expenses incurred, including without limitation, all costs and fees incurred in connection with the clean up, repair, or removal of any damaged property, spilled fluids, discarded tires or other scrap, or fees for late exit from the event facilities. I agree to abide by the rules and regulations of the Club and any supplementary rules or regulations provided in connection with the Club's events or by the event facilities owners or operators. |
