RUN GROUPS & REGISTRATION…

Instructed Student Groups:
Green Group: Beginning Student
Yellow Group: Advanced Student

Solo Groups:
Blue Group: Beginning Solo Driver
White Group: Intermediate Solo Driver
Black Group: Advanced Solo Driver

Instructor Groups:
Black Group Instructor (Regional PCA Instructor)
Red Group Instructor (National PCA Instructor)

PLEASE contact us BEFORE registering if you do not KNOW your Run Group with MNY PCA.

**IF YOU HAVE NOT INSTRUCTED WITH US WITHIN THE LAST FIVE YEARS, PLEASE CONTACT US BEFORE REGISTERING AS AN INSTRUCTOR!**
We expect INSTRUCTORS to have CARS with TWO SEATS and equal restraints.

All STUDENT DRIVERS will start out on the waiting list until instructor assignments can be made. Students are confirmed on a first come, first serve basis based on time of payment. PLEASE CHECK THE EVENT ROSTER TO SEE YOUR STATUS.

SOLO DRIVERS who have never run with MNY PCA, who have not been on track for a long time, or who have never visited the track at which the DE is taking place are likely to be given a courtesy welcome session with an instructor to help confirm run group placement. Please remember: Run Group assignment is solely at the discretion of MNY PCA.

INSTRUCTOR fees only apply for approved Metro NY PCA Instructors and PCA Nationally Trained Instructors who are actively instructing at the DE. There is a limit on Instructor registrations at the instructor rate. Once the limit is reached, instructors will be placed on a Wait List, or they may register as Black Solo drivers. If they are then asked to instruct, the fee difference will be refunded (less the CC charge).  It is solely at the discretion of MNY PCA whether a person is allowed to instruct at its events, regardless of the individual's experience and qualifications.

Payment must be received within 5 days of registration to hold your spot (or 7 days prior to event; whichever comes first). You will receive an e-mail confirmation of your registration. If you have not received notification one week prior to the event, please contact the event chair or registrar (metronypcade@gmail.com). Registration cannot be completed if payment is not received.

Registration closes on 6/21. NO REFUNDS AFTER 6/12.

We no longer allow car sharing in the same run group. If wish to share a car you MUST make the Registrar aware of this before registering.

Driver is responsible for any/all track damage they may cause.
Only registered drivers are permitted on the track. Registered drivers MUST be 18 years of age and over, and have a valid driver's license. No passengers are allowed other than registered event instructors. No more than two occupants may be in a car on track. A driver is permitted on the track only during his/her assigned run group.

SAFETY…
Pre-event tech inspection must be completed by a PCA Region approved tech site within 30 days of event using the current Metro NY PCA Tech Form.
It is mandatory for all Boxsters, Cabriolets, Roadsters and Speedsters to have roll bars that meet minimum height requirements.
Open cars must be equipped with roll-over protection meeting the following specifications: (i) the roll bar must be of sufficient height to ensure that the top of the driver’s helmet sits below the line from the top of the roll bar to the top of the windshield (commonly referred to as the “broomstick test”) and; (ii) rollover protection must be sufficient to protect passengers in a rollover event.
Snell SA2020 or newer helmets are required.
Helmets should be full face with visor closed while on track. Open face helmets are strongly discouraged. Open face helmets may only be used in cars with stock restraints and operational factory airbags.
If your car has aftermarket 5 or 6 Point Harnesses, the webbing must not have an expired date on the manufacturer tag. Most webbing expires after 5 years from date of production.

If you are running a 5 or 6 point harness, you are REQUIRED to use a head and neck restraint device that meets the standards of either SFI 38.1 or FIA 8858.

PLEASE DO NOT register with a hybrid or electric vehicle or an SUV or a truck until you have contacted the Registrar and been approved to participate with that vehicle. Significant safety concerns with electric vehicles mean some tracks and track organizations have banned them outright. We cannot provide full refunds to those who register with hybrids, electric vehicles, SUVs, or trucks without first gaining approval from the registrar.

Metro NY PCA sponsors this event as a driver’s education. It is not a race or a race school. We encourage all participants to enjoy the experience and bring a mature, cooperative, and not overly aggressive attitude to the event. Participants engaging in inappropriate actions are subject to having their registration canceled, at the sole discretion of Metro NY PCA.
Refund Policy METRO NY PCA REGION
HPDE EVENT CANCELLATION AND REFUND POLICY

Date Posted: January 19, 2026

This HPDE Event Cancellation and Refund Policy (“Policy”) covers our credit and refund policy.  This Policy is offered by the Metropolitan New York Region, Porsche Club of America, Ltd.  (“Metro PCA,” “we,” “us,” or “our”).

    1.  Scope.  This Policy only applies to fees that you pay to us for driver education events that we administer (“Metro DE Events”).  It does not apply to any payments made to another PCA Region, even if those payments are made for a co-hosted or cross-promoted event.  If you register with and pay another PCA Region for an event, including a co-hosted or cross-promoted event, you must contact that PCA Region directly to cancel, and its cancellation and refund policy will apply.

    2.  Eligibility.  If you wish to cancel and receive a credit for a Metro DE Event, you must complete both of the following steps at least 15 days before that Metro DE Event starts:

      • Cancel your registration in your account at ClubRegistration. net, and
      • Email your request to our Registrar at metronypcade@gmail. com

If you take either or both of those steps within 14 days of the event, no credit will be issued.

    3.  Credits.  Credits, where available, are subject to the following rules:

      • Credits have no cash value, are not divisible, will not be paid out, and are non-transferrable.
      • Credits expire if not used by the end of the following season.
      • You must pay the shortfall if a credit does not cover the full cost of a Metro DE Event.
      • Credits are not valid for use with certain co-hosted or cross-promoted events.
      • We do not honor credits issued by other Porsche Club of America Regions, but we may make an exception if those credits were issued for an event that we co-hosted or cross-promoted.  We will make the decision on a case-by-case basis at our sole discretion.

    4.  Refunds.  A refund is available only if we offer one to you in writing and you comply with the terms of our offer.  We will deduct a processing fee from any refund.  At minimum, we will retain 5% of your payment if you paid full price, or 15% if you paid a promotional price, and we may increase these fees as described in Section 6.  Any refund will be issued to the original payment method.

    5.  Timing.  We will use reasonable efforts to process valid requests made under this Policy within thirty (30) days after we receive them.

    6.  Changes.  We may change this Policy at any time.  Any changes we make will be effective when we send the new Policy to you at the email address stored in your ClubRegistration. net account or post it on the applicable Metro DE Event page on ClubRegistration or on the Metro PCA Website (https://metronypca. org).  Changes will not apply retroactively.

    6.  Determinations.  All decisions made under this Policy are final and will be communicated to you by the Metro PCA registrar.
Indemnity Policy I certify that I am 18 years of age or older, possess a valid driving license, and have no known physical or mental problems or conditions which prevent me from safely operating a motor vehicle or which may jeopardize others or myself if I participate in Club Race and/or Driver Education events.

I agree that at all times during this Club Race and/or Driver Education event that I shall remain solely responsible for the safety and road-worthiness of my car and that I am solely responsible for any damages sustained by my car while participating in the event, regardless of cause or fault.  If my car damages any track facilities, not limited to but including guardrails and fluid clean-ups, I will pay for such damages directly to the track or reimburse Metro NY PCA for those expenses as necessary.

Email addresses used on ClubRegistration. net will not be shared, sold or distributed.

Porsche Club of America is a private, not-for-profit organization.  It reserves the right to deny the acceptance of any Club Race or Driver Education application, or to revoke any application previously accepted, for any reason or no reason, except that it will not deny or revoke a Club Race or Driver Education application solely on the basis of race, creed, color, sex or national origin.
