Description

Zonefest 2017 will be a 3-day, multi-event weekend including an Autocross, Concours, Gimmick Rally, Driving Tour of local area, Tech Quiz and lots of time for socializing, dining, awards and prizes!

PLEASE NOTE: Registration has been set up to enable ONE person with a ClubRegistration account to sign up, register and pay for multiple adults or children in the same party UNLESS there will be more than one driver for the Autocross in your party.  In that case, EACH INDIVIDUAL driver must register and pay separately here.  And one of these drivers should include any children, if applicable to your party, as a part of his/her registration.

Your Zonefest registration fee covers participation / attendance at ALL driving/vehicle events, the Tech Quiz, TWO group dinners and TWO socials! The registration fee is the same regardless of whether each registrant drives or spectates every event.  At this time, there is no option for "ala carte" purchases, e.g., paying for just one or two events or meals.

CANCELLATIONS & REFUNDS - Refunds will be made, subject to a $35 cancellation fee, for cancellation requests emailed to the Zonefest Registrar AT LEAST 14 CALENDAR DAYS PRIOR May 26, 2017.  There are no refunds or credits for cancellation requests made within 14 days of this date or for no-shows.

Concours - Saturday Morning
Concours event is a gathering of cars in competition or judging of their respective merits in terms coach work design, finish, and appointments. This Zonefest 2017 Concour is a modified version of the PCA Concours with only two categories: Peoples’ Choice and Judged. This is the chance for every Porsche owner to show off their “pride and joy” with other owners. The Peoples’ Choice category is for those owners who are just beginning to show their cars or who want show off their “daily driver”. In this class, owners need to “wash and wax” their cars and clean up the inside to impress the public and garner as many “public votes” for their car as possible. The Judged category is for the more experience concours participants who will spend time washing, waxing, and detailing their car to bring it back to “showroom” or “before sale” condition. This category will be judged by a team of experienced judges who will examine and score the exterior, interior, engine, presentation, and elegance factor of each car. For more information on this Zonefest 2017 Concours including the various classes, see attached PDF file “Zonefest 2017 Concours Information” found under the "Event Files" section at the end or bottom of this screen page.

Gimmick Rally - Saturday Afternoon
Be sure to sign up for this fun event ! If YOU will be driving your car, please select a quantity of "1". We are seeking a count of cars here, not people! Navigators and other passengers (seatbelt required) should not be included in this quantity selection. The objective of a rally is to follow a course, usually on public roads, to the precise detail specified in the rules. Part of the challenge with a fun rally is to discover the intended route, which may require other skills such as solving a puzzle or looking for, and documenting obscure reference points. Rallies are run on paved roads at the legal speed limit. They do not cause excessive wear on a vehicle or place its driver/navigator at risk. It's fun for the whole family....if there are enough seats! Any car can compete on equal footing with the deep wallet guys. Unlike autocross or track events, winning teams have less than $50 invested in their competition package. No special equipment is needed to run this Gimmick Rally.

Autocross - Sunday Morning
Autocross is a sport driving event where you navigate your car through a defined course of soft orange traffic pylons. Events are usually run in 2nd gear and are a safe way to learn how to drive your car. You learn how to handle your car at speeds that you drive daily. You gain confidence in your driving ability; learn the limits of your car’s brakes; learn correct seating, hand and feet positions; learn the limits of your car’s tire adhesion; all which helps you improve on your accident collision avoidance abilities making you a safer driver. Each driver is expected to work the course as well as drive the course. We expect each driver to get 4 – 6 runs each. The autocross classes will be based on Mid-Size Regions. For more information on this Zonefest 2017 Autocross including the various classes, see attached PDF file “Zonefest 2017 AutoX Information” found under the "Event Files" section at the end or bottom of this screen page.
