Florida Citrus Region is hosting another PCA Instructor School, and Clinic and DE at Roebling Road Raceway, near Savannah GA.  Descriptions of the Instructor School and DE are separate below.  Please read both and then register separately for each.  Attendees to the School will receive substantial fee reductions for the following DE.

Direct links to both are:
SCHOOL: https://clubregistration.net/events/signUp.cfm/event/8664
DE: https://clubregistration.net/events/signUp.cfm/event/8674

DE 2/10-11/2018: FLC is hosting a High Performance Drivers Education event on Feb. 10-11/2018 at Roebling Road Raceway.  Register here or at the link above.

This is a 2 day driving event focused on developing high performance driving skills for all drivers. Instructors will be provided for all students in the Green (novice)and Blue (advanced novice) groups.  Space is limited to 22 drivers for student run groups, and 25 for solo groups.  The event will fill up early, so sign up now.

INSTRUCTOR SCHOOL 2/9/2018: Also, Friday is an Instructor School and Clinic.  Drivers registering for both events will receive a substantial fee reduction for the DE.  Candidates wishing to achieve status as a PCA National Instructor, current instructors wanting to improve their skills, and solo drivers interested in observing the school or looking for lots of track time.  In addition, solo drivers that are considering whether or not to become an instructor may attend the school as "observers".  They may participate in all classes and exercises, but will not be Candidates.  All drivers in the school must have at least 4 solo events, and must have a car with equal seats and seat belts for 2 occupants.

All candidates will be sent an on-line course with critical information.  The course must be successfully completed prior to attending the school.  No exceptions.

The School is heavy on role playing and classroom participation. We will alternate between role playing on and off the track, with lots of track time.  Candidates can use this day to learn the art of teaching high performance driving as well as to converse with experienced driving Instructors.  Instructors can practice and sharpen skills in a small group setting.  Instructors and solo drivers will enjoy open track sessions while Candidates are in class.

Candidates successfully completing the course will be eligible for National PCA DE Instructor Corps Membership.  Only a limited number of Candidates will be accepted.

Don't miss this opportunity to sharpen your driving and teaching skills. For more specific info contact one of us, as below.

GENERAL:
GATE HOURS: Gates will be open from 5:00 pm to 9:00 pm Thursday; and 6:30 am to 9:00 pm Friday; 6:30 am to 8:00 pm Saturday; and 6:30 am to 6:00 pm Sunday.  Remember quiet hours are 8:00 pm to 8:00 am every day.  No loud motors.  Also, do not drive trailers on Ziegler Rd.  Rather, continue on Rte. 80 past Ziegler Rd. and turn right on Rte. 17 for about 2 miles and turn right onto Roebling Road to the track.

TECH AND REGISTRATION: Registration and tech for the School will be at the track Friday morning.  Registration for the DE will be at the hotel on Friday starting about 6:00 pm until 8:00 pm, and at track on Saturday morning 7:00 am to 7:30 am.  Tech for "street" cars will be at the Country Inn Friday about 5:30-7 pm, and at the track Saturday morning 7:00 am to 7:30.  Tech for "trailer" cars will be at the track on Friday evening and Saturday morning.  Remember, no loud motors at RRR during quiet times (8:00 pm to 8:00 am), and 11:00 am to 12:00 pm Sunday.

HOTEL AND SOCIALS: The host hotel is the Country Inn and Suites, Savannah Airport, 21 Yvette Johnson Hagins Dr., phone 912-966-1717.  Reserve early and mention Florida Citrus – PCA to get the special rate of $89+ per day.  This is a very busy weekend in Savannah, so hotels will fill up.

In addition to track events your admission also includes a social Friday evening at the Country Inn.  Lots of pizza, wings, beer from Orlando Brewing, wine, and good times.  Also, enjoy a fantastic dinner bash at the hotel Saturday evening.  Excellent menu, more great beer from Orlando Brewing, and lots of bench racing.  Cost is $30.  Please sign up while registering.  Questions, please contact annedelvillano@comcast.net or 970-406-2090.

Please note the following:
PCA REGULATIONS SEVERELY LIMIT “TASTE OF THE TRACK” RIDE ALONGS FOR NON-DRIVING STUDENTS.  IF OFFERED, SUCH RIDE ALONGS MUST BE AT LOW SPEED AND WITHOUT HELMETS.  INSTRUCTORS MAY OFFER RIDE ALONGS TO DRIVING STUDENTS IN A RUN GROUP ONE STEP HIGHER THAN THE STUDENT’S GROUP.  FOR EXAMPLE, AN INSTRUCTOR MAY GIVE A RIDE ALONG TO A BLUE STUDENT IN THE WHITE GROUP.  DURING SUCH STUDENT RIDE ALONGS, THE INSTRUCTOR MUST DRIVE AT SPEEDS APPROPRIATE TO THE RUN GROUP AND MUST OBEY THE PASSING RULES FOR THAT GROUP.
See you soon.
