Description Kemah Boardwalk Concours d’ Elegance … March the 23rd, 2019

The Lone Star Region Porsche Club of America will hold its first Concours d’ Elegance of 2019 on SATURDAY the 23rd of MARCH at the Kemah Boardwalk located at 215 Kipp Avenue, Kemah, TX 77565 in the main parking lot located by the restaurants and amusements. Please join the Lone Star Region PCA Concours team for a classy and family-oriented venue that is representative of the Porsche brand.

About our venue Overlooking Galveston Bay, the Kemah Boardwalk features themed restaurants, retail shops, and amusements for the whole family.

At the heart of the Kemah Boardwalk are the restaurants. Kemah boasts some of the most recognized names in the restaurant industry: Landry's Seafood House, The Cadillac Bar, and Bubba Gump Shrimp Co. Aquarium Restaurant serves guests a great view of our 50,000 gallon aquarium brimming with marine life. The Kemah Boardwalk is also home to The Flying Dutchman, Salt grass Steakhouse and Bayside Grill.

This 35-acre carnival-like atmosphere has a 36-foot carousel, a 65-foot Ferris wheel and rides like the Aviator and the Boardwalk Tower. Don't miss the arcade and Midway games. And for thrill seekers, there's the Boardwalk Beast, an adrenaline rush of a boat ride that takes passengers four miles into Galveston Bay at speeds up to 40 mph. 

Just 20 miles from downtown Houston, The Kemah Boardwalk is a great coastal getaway.

This will be our first Concours d’ Elegance of 2019 and we are looking forward to making this the largest one yet as we build upon our well established Concours program thanks to all of you !

If you are competing you will need to arrive at 8:00 a.m. with no more cars being admitted after 9:00 (1-hour window) so that we can get everyone staged and provide you time for last minute touchups. NOTE: there will be no signing up the day of the event for competing, but you can park your car in the designated display area.

A Judges meeting will be held prior to rags down at 9:00 a.m. as judging will begin promptly thereafter. Award recognition to begin after compiling of the scores along with the conducting of a Raffle with a projected finish of 12:00 p.m. 

Einar Goerland, owner of Einar’s Garage, along with Nick Varuso, owner of Dark Knight Motor Group Detailing, along with Eric Petree, Manager of Xpel, will be our premier sponsors for this event. Each sponsor will have a tent at the event so that you can visit and get a better understanding of their capabilities, provide demonstrations and answer questions. 

Breakfast consisting of Tacos and Starbuck’s coffee will be provided for by Robin Martinez, owner of Flowers of Kingwood for all to entrants to enjoy.

Immediately after the Concours wrap-up we will caravan to our host sponsor, Einar's Garage, as he would like to invite you to their 4th annual Post Concourse Open house.  Entrants and their guests are encouraged to make the short drive over the bridge to Einar’s shop for lunch and beverages. Einar and his team are looking forward to having you as their guests.

NOTE: This event is OPEN to all Porsche enthusiasts, family and friends please come out a spectate with fellow Porsche people. You can enter to compete, just display your car or spectate !!
Refund Policy Refunds will be handled on a case by case basis by the Chairman, in the case of a rainout the event will be reschedule. 
To make things clear:
(1) Application is based on the time of payment.  If, at the time of registration, you do not pay, another applicant who pays before you will be accepted before you.  Remember time of payment counts!
(2) PCA members will receive a 7-day preference before non-PCA members.  After 7-days, all applications will be treated equally.  Register early!
(3) It is your responsibility to enter your verified PCA membership number.  If no number is entered at registration, it will be assumed that you are not a PCA members.  As such, you will be treated as a non-PCA member.  It is YOUR responsibility.  If you have not entered your PCA number, it is your fault and you will lose any preference!

We will email you when your application has been accepted, which is contingent on your payment having been received.  You can always check www. ClubRegistation. net for your status. 

Verified PCA Members shall be given acceptance preference over non-members for the first 7 days that the application process is open.  After the first 7 days, applications are accepted on an as-received basis for PCA members and non-members.  This means that a non-member who submits an application and makes payment during the first seven days will have preference over a member who makes payment after the first seven days, even if applied on-line within the first seven days. 
For a PCA Member to be verified, he/she must include his/her PCA membership number, which will be verified by our system as the correct and current membership number associated with that member. 
THERE ARE NO WALK-ONS ON TH DAY OF THE EVENT, regardless of whether or not all places at the DE have been filled. 

Since it is possible to apply to participate in a DE without making payment, your application is time-stamped as to when you make payment, not as to when you made the on-line application.  Applicants are encouraged to pay at the same time as they make their application. 
Our system will record your time of payment as your application time.  Irrespective of when you apply on-line, your application will not be accepted until your payment (via PayPal) has been received.  This means that if someone applies after you but pays before you, the other person will be accepted before you.  For example, if there is only one spot available and you apply but do not pay, then someone who pays before you, even if they applied after you, will get that spot!

There are about 20 garages available for rent by participants for each event ($50 per weekend).  At the time you make your on-line application, you can request a garage. 
Garage preferences are the same as the for the application; however, you do not pay for the garages at time of application.  If you are assigned a garage, we will advise you sometime during the week before the event.  At that time, it will be necessary for you to make your payment through the on-line registration system.
